Purrfect Pet Products has always been passionate about keeping jobs in Australia. Now, even more so, we’re committed to keeping our family together and employed.
We’re a small business based in Penrith, NSW and have been in operation since 2012. We’ve built a close and tight knit group of employees and we’re doing everything we can to ensure that during these uncertain COVID-19 times, there’s enough work to ensure normal day-to-day operations.
Keeping It In Australia
One of the easiest ways that we can ensure that our team remain in their roles and our customers continue to receive the highest level of quality in their products is by doing it here. Everything we make is done here in Penrith. Our raw materials that are used are sourced from other Australian businesses.
In every one of our ready made cat posts are made from at least 70% recycled materials. Our carpet is end of line and discontinued stock sourced from Australia’s biggest carpet retailers, consumer and industrial. Without our taking in this surplus stock it would wind up in a landfill somewhere.
Our structural tube is sourced from the manufactures of Australia’s toilet paper and other consumable paper products. Through our daily practises, we’re ensuring our carbon footprint is as small as possible. We can ensure this by having staff in our warehouse, trained and practising these policies.
Supporting Those Without Mainstream Support
Another area in which we find an immense amount of pride is how we support and provide jobs for those in the community that may otherwise find it difficult to find work elsewhere. We have active partnerships with Nova Employment as well as Octec Employment to provide, introduce and train workers that haven’t had the opportunity elsewhere.
Throughout the years, we’ve had some great success stories with our employees in terms of assisting them become independent, more confident, self-reliant and even move off into other areas of employment!
Dedication & Ongoing Support
As Australians, we’re going to see some turbulent times ahead due to this COVID-19 epidemic. It’s not a matter of if, but when. Purrfect Pet Products remains dedicated and committed to ensuring that our team, our Purrfect family have somewhere to go and some way to pay the bills throughout this ordeal.
We will continue to be working on new and amazing products for you, the customer, and we will survive. The sun will rise tomorrow and we will be strong again.
